Dreamin' of Paisley's

Well I feel as though every other post I'm wearing shorts. I'm telling you, I have such a hard time giving them up. Well over the last two weeks I did three great things. I bought this amazing paisley kimono, I got a sunflower tattoo, and I bought the new Taylor Swift album 1989. My life has been so hectic. Between working pretty much full time to finding time to sleep, its like I can't catch a break. On the plus side this kimono was a whopping $9.98. The way I measure money is impractical, its in the amount of coffee's I could buy with that money. I think "well for ten dollars I could buy almost 4 coffees". It's really a problem, my addiction to coffee, but its definitely worth it. Paisley's are extremely in, so much so that I have a tattoo on my shoulder of a very large paisley. They were infamous starting as early in the twenty's on men's ties and suit jackets. They've grown to be a much more popular pattern.  The paisley I have permanently tattooed on my body resembles a tear that has been made beautiful by all the pain I have endured in my life. The beach was a great place to breath this day.  On a side note the new Taylor Swift album is so heartfelt and edgy and yes I did get a new tattoo. Sunflower's are my favorite flower and my Mom's. Hope you all have a great week.

Crisp Leaves & Basic Fall Things

The crisp leaves, the smell of the fresh air, the noise of the cars moving slower than normal for the people's inside to grasp the foliage. Its the last days before winter brings its cold, bitter chill. Its almost in limbo. The weather has been exceptionally warm. Being a warm blooded Californian I very much enjoy the warm weather. So this Free People dress might just take the trophy for my favorite piece of clothing I own. It literally is the most versatile item. Easy to wear with tights, boots, flats and in the summer sandals. My weeks have consisted of long hours at the boutique, so I have no time to post but I have a few things lined up that I'm excited to share. Happy Wednesday, the weekends almost here!

Fall Basics

(Top Right Sweater: The Gap, Middle Tee: Cut by yours truly... Target, Left Jacket: Francesca's, Middle Leggings: American Eagle, Boots: Target, Beanie: Obey, Glasses: Forever 21)

(Bottom right skirt: Forever 21, Bottom Left booties: Target,  Shirt: Pacsun, Record Fleetwood Mac, Bracelet: Consignment store)

(Bottom right Tank Top: Obey, Middle Sweater: Forever 21, Jeans: Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Converse All Stars, Top Right: Arctic Monkeys, Socks: Obey, Necklace: Claire's)

Well what can I say about these outfits, I have a very large wardrobe but really I only wear about twenty percent of it. The thing about me is, I usually look for the best bargain possible. I get an item or piece of clothing that I want stuck in my head and then look everywhere for it, till I can find a reasonable price.  My army pants were a T.J. Maxx find, only ten dollars!  The sweater in that outfit only $25.00.  My Sweater in the top outfit, only $25.00 and the Red Hot Chili Pepper tank, was mens from Target that I cut up and made my own.  In the middle outfit, I bought the polka dot shirt for $7.00.  What Im trying to say here is just because looking around for a bargain takes time, its completely worth it. Usually I scope out a store's website before I actually walk in to see if they have exactly what I'm looking for and if its on sale. You don't have to break the bank to have a great wardrobe. Hopefully some photography posts to come this week!
Cheerio for now!

Finally Autumns in the Air

Happy Autumn Everyone, what would we do without this beautiful month of October. Well what can I say about this little number. I'm myself. I feel free. I also am not very poetic right now. Autumn makes me feel free. Its like the change in seasons gives me a new boost. I have a hard time putting the shorts away so tights work perfectly. I'll let you into a secret, these combat boots are one of the best purchases I've ever made. Now here's the secret...Target. I buy lots of basics, odds and ends, and quirky things there.  My work schedule has me going crazy, todays my first day off. I hope everyones having a wonderful day, I will be back this week!

Stripes & Red

Happy Monday everyone! Well today on the darling blog I would love to emphasize how much I love stripes. Really though, at least a quarter of my wardrobe is striped. Stripes are something that have stayed for many generations and never go out of style. There what we call classic. When an item of clothing or something is worn for more than a decade it becomes classic. Red is also my color pop in this outfit and it is my favorite color as well. These shorts are also made by yours truly.  Their younger boys shorts that I bought at Salvation Army for a couple of dollars. I cut them and sewed the cuffs. Simple as anything. Its my final days of shorts weather and I'm going into the autumn excited. I hope you have a lovely week!

Hello there Autumn

There was a poem I had to learn in middle school called "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost. It was a poem about taking the path that seems distant, that not many would choose but yet it lead to the most amazing out come. On adventures with my best friend, are new thing is trying to take the "road not taken". Which lead us to stumble on such an amazing building as this in the middle of the woods. This outfit is pretty casual but it was good for the walk. Its the times when your far away from the world and all you can feel is the cool air and the smell of trees, that you feel Autumn from the inside. My leggings are lululemon. I live out of leggings in the winter and they were  a perfect investment. I hate when leggings are transparent, nobody wants to see that! I also live out of my vans, because well I am a sneaker kind of girl. I'm too excited about the weather change and it shows! Well happy autumn everyone!

The Little Things

Well here is my outfit of the day today. I finally am catching a breath from the crazy thing I call life. I shot my first wedding on Saturday and I'm blessed beyond all odds with the way the photos came out (I can't wait to post them). I also work two jobs, as well as my photography on the side. My life is insane but that why I made this blog, as a small outlook on the madness. This outfit is so simple yet incredible classy. The thing about my wardrobe is I find everything at awesome prices, people know me as the biggest bargain shopper. I probably paid around forty dollars for this outfit. This dress from H&M was a steal, for only ten dollars. You can always find great basic pieces there that fit with closely anything else in your wardrobe. I love this floppy hat because it lets me feel like I'm in a different generation or time where big floppy hats were worn at horse races and fancy events. Its always the little things to me that make me so happy! I'll be back with wedding photos!
